Studio Policy-DRESS CODE

Please note, proper dress code must be maintained at all times unless otherwise instructed by the teacher. All dance shoes and sneakers worn in class must be Indoor only shoes that won’t leave scuff marks. Pointe shoes can only be worn/bought with permission from the ballet teacher.

  • Ballet & Pointe/PrePointe

    Girls/She- Bodysuit, Ballet Tights, Hair in ballet bun, Pink ballet shoes*

    Boys/He- Dance Tights, Fitting tank top/shirt, Hair pulled back, Black ballet shoes*

    They/Them- Either option listed above, whichever feels best on you!

    *full sole leather ballet shoes for Junior and younger, canvas split sole shoes for Intermediate/Intro and up.

  • Jazz

    Tight fitting athletic clothing (bodysuit, leggings, shorts, tank top, tshirt) Black Jazz Shoes,

    Hair pulled back and off face.

  • Contemporary

    Tight fitting athletic clothing suitable for floor work and partnering (long sleeves, leggings/pants) Socks and/or Bare feet.

  • Step

    Athletic clothing that shows ankles (no long pants that cover the ankles) Hair pulled back and off face,

    Please note, kids shiny step shoes are only permitted in the rec classes. All step comp dancers must have matte lace up step shoes.

  • Musical Theater

    Tight fitting athletic clothing, Hair pulled back and off face, Jazz shoes, potential use of character shoes.

  • HipHop

    Loose fitting athletic clothing.

    Clean sneakers (indoor use only)

  • Lil Movers & Kinder Movers

    Your favorite dance outfit! Athletic clothing or Ballet/Jazz attire, Hair pulled back and off face, Barefeet, Socks, Ballet or Jazz shoes.
